Ms.

Lundys OPENING:

Greets students upon arrival at the door. Good morning (insert students name)
Students will move their picture on the door from the home side to the school side
This allows me to know who is present and who is absent
Next student will move lunch clip with their assigned number to designated side for lunch-box (green) or cafeteria
lunch (yellow)
This informs me how many are eating cafeteria lunch to ask for lunch funds
If students have a sacked breakfast they would place it in the breakfast basket
Take out agendas and place in agenda basket
Highlight name and student number on homework packages and insert packages in assigned homework folders
(green/completed; red/incomplete) with the image of a house visible
Stow back packs in assigned cubbies and take one morning work package quietly sit and complete
Morning work is turned in when the bell ring group tables in assigned folders (red/complete; green
incomplete labeled morning work) with the image of the sun visible
Stand quietly behind desk with chairs pushed in for the pledge and morning announcements
Pair up with assigned buddy to transition to cafeteria for breakfast (students that brought a sacked breakfast will
grab it on their way to the cafeteria)
REHEARSAL/REINFORCEMENT:
Pick 3 students to explain morning procedures. If a step is omitted re-teach until procedures are mastered in the
correct order.
After breakfast students will pair up and transition back to class; on the way back stop for restroom breaks
Open class by discussing something they learned yesterdays lesson
Students will hand the soft spongy ball to the next student with their hands raised to taking turns
answer question during discussion

I will introduce the target lesson for today. Students will have the opportunity to tell me what they already know
about todays lesson. As the ball is returned to me. all eyes on me. I will begin teaching todays lesson following
schedule as planned.
