The McCaul/Warner Commission will create an opportunity to make progress in
solving the increasing technological challenges facing our law enforcement and intelligence professionals. Sadly, too much time and energy has been wasted on shouting past one another. It is time for serious discussion to address these issues one that provides a voice for leaders from our law enforcement communities, as well as representatives from industry, tech experts, and advocates. These issues are too important to resort to inaction, and too complex to resolve without consensus. I support Chairman McCaul and Senator Warner in this bipartisan effort to bring together stakeholders to improve the safety of Americans. March 18, 2016
