Theme Animals
Procedure:
1. Pre-computer
a) Review the different animals (the most common) with the class.
b) Give the students a list with animals and another one with very
representative characteristics of each animal, so the students will
have to link each animal with 3 of its characteristics. For example:
The lion is strong, hairy and carnivore.
2. Online
a) Direct learners to the website. They can work alone or in pairs.
b) Each student or pair will have to select his / her / their favourite
animal (they have to consider that there are more animals than it
seems and that they can deploy each list of species).
c) They will have to read the description of the animal and write
down 5 adjectives related to it. After this, the students will ask
questions about the others’ animals in a shift way, so they will be
able to use the adjectives to describe their animals.
3. Post-computer
a) The students will design a field tab about the animal that they will have
selected, drawing the animal and writing a redaction about it. Afterwards,
they will stick the field tabs on the classroom’s wall.
