Aim

My aim is to make a face paced two-minute action sequence for my creative

artefact. I feel like this is the most appropriate type of convention for such a film
like mine to have, as I want to make an action genre film and because most gang
films represents this genre, so I felt that it was the best decision film in this way. I
can support this, using the two films I have chosen to write an essay on, The
Dark Knight (Christopher Nolan) and Skyfall (Sam Mendes). The two films
continuously display themes of power and fear through certain techniques, such
as fast paced editing, mise-en-scene and sound, also fast camera movements
link in with this theme, so I am hoping to use similar techniques as the two
directors of the film to create my 2 minute sequence which represents these two
films. This is seen in the fight scene between the protagonist and the antagonist
of The Dark Knight and Skyfall.

I have and taken a lot of ideas in terms of editing and also character behaviours
from these two films. For example my main protagonist is like that of Skyfall with
a twist as they both in some sort of group and theyre purpose is to eliminate
and threat that could harm them. I also wanted to convey the theme of fear as
Christopher Nolan had done with the film Batman the Dark Knight to do this I will
be using a variety of methods to represent my protagonist as intimidating person
such as using props for example guns to connote fear and violence. I also want
the audience to recognise the conventions of an action film so I incorporated
different elements like blood and violence, which enhances the mise-en-scene,
and it will give a brief overview with the film that I have researched.. I also want
to incorporate as many shots that I can so I can spark an interest in the audience
and try to make the messages and values in my film clearer to the audience.
