Michael Jordan is one greatest
players in the history of the
NBA. MJ was drafted 1st
round, 3rd pick overall by the
Chicago Bulls in 1984.
Performing slam dunks from
the free throw line! Gave MJ
his nickname "Air Jordan", also
the name of his signature shoe.
MJ was born on February 17th,
1963 in Brooklyn, New York.
He played multiple sports at
Emsley A. Laney HS down in
Wilmington, North Carolina.
Surprisingly, in high school
Jordan was cut from his
Varsity basketball team and
played lower at the Junior
Varsity level. "Air Jordan" won
the dunk contest twice from
1987-1988. Jordan was named
the greatest North American
athlete of the 20th century.
Jordan played 15 seasons for
the Bulls and retired in 1999.
However, MJ came back to the
league out of retirement and
played for the Wizards from
2001-2003. Jordan played
baseball and wore jersey #45,
he also played ball with this
number. His regular number
for basket number was 23.

average (30.12 points per
game) and highest career
playoff scoring average
(33.45 points per game).
Throughout his career
jump man has scored
32,292 points, had 6,672
rebounds and 5,633 career
