    SincethelastreleaseofStarWarsin2005,nothingonthebigscreenhasbeenmadeforstar
    wars(SomewouldarguenogoodStarWarsmoviehasbeensince1983).However,TheForce
    Awakenshasreversedthattrendandofferedanamazingmovieonparwiththeoriginaltrilogy,
    andfarbetterthantheprequels.

    Oneofthebestthingaboutthemoviewastheacting.Whileyoucanargueaboutwhetherornot
    thecharactersweregood,theywerecertainlywellacted.Forexample,KyloRenwasportrayed
    byAdamDriver,andwasoneofthebestofthenewadditions.Additionally,Poewasagood
    character,althoughhisrolewasunfortunatelyminimized.

    Anothergoodthingaboutthemoviewastheminimaspecialeffects.Whileitstilllookedvery
    good,itavoidedmuchoftheCGIthatcontributedtohowbadthePrequelswere.EvenBB8,
    thedroidthethataccompaniedthemaincharacterswasamodel,notCGI.Thiscontributed
    greatlytothemovieandhowgooditwas.

    However,themoviedidhavesomeflaws.ThemostnotableofthesewasthefactthatRey,the
    equivalentofLuke,isfarmoreskilledthansheshouldbewiththeforce.Duringthemovie,she

    receivednotraining,butstillshouldtheabilitytofightKyloRenatrainedSithapprentice.This
    isseverelyoverpoweringher,andmakesherstorylinesomewhatuninteresting.

    Overall,themoviewasprettygood,butnotperfect,soIwouldrateitabout8outof10.
