Chapter I
Company Information
1. Company Profile
China BeiJing ZhongSheng AoXing Co., Ltd. was established in March
2003 with the input capital of USD 5,000,000. 90% of its employees are
professionals with bachelor degree or above. It has sound organization and
perfect quality assurance system. It is set with administrative office,
finance department, lab, commerce department, engineering department
and after-sales service department. The company boasts a large number of
skillful technicians who have been engaged in waste recycling and reusing
projects for many years and have undergone professional training.
2. Introduction to Pet Bottle Recycle System
Waste plastic recycling and reprocessing principle:
1. The waste must be of same kind sorted out strictly (e.g., single PP, PE,
PET).
2. The material must be clean (without dust, coke or other foreign matter).
3. The material must be dry.
Waste plastic recycling and reprocessing process flow:

Project Information
1. Project Overview
Project title: Iraq Waste Plastic Recycling & Reprocessing Project
Project location: Iraq
Nature of project construction: Newly constructed
Land scale: 500 Mu (1 Mu=0.0667 hectares)
Project contractor: China Treasure International Investment Co., Ltd.
2. Project Background
The so-called white pollution indicates plastic packages, which are
difficult to degrade at one time, e.g. pet bottle, plastic bag, etc. It is difficult
to be decomposed and easily reduce soil capacity as being buried in soil. If
being incinerated, atmospheric contamination will be caused. As a result,
white trash is evaluated as the trash causing the most serious pollution to

the environment. In case of improper disposal, it will not only affect the
overall sense of beauty of the city, but also give rise to long-term
deep-seated ecological environment issues as it contains polystyrene,
polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride.
3. Market Analysis
Recycled PET pellets, or rPET, are a growing market. The use of plastics
in consumer products is increasing every year. And, companies around the world
are trying to find a way to decrease their manufacturing cost. According to
Complete Recycling, by using rPET instead of raw PET, companies can save up
to 80% of energy and natural resources. This astounding difference is the reason
why companies decide to purchase rPET.
The following graph shows the price trend of rPET over the last 10 years.

Chapter III
Technological Process
1. Debaler Machine- As PET bottles (with caps & labels) often come in
bales, compacted bundles tied together with metal wires, the first stage is to
get the material into a free flowing stream. The debaler breaks apart
the bales allowing the plastic bottles within to drop onto the belt conveyor
that moves the bottles onto the next step.
2. Trommel Separator- A large, slow rotating machine that is used to remove
the smaller pieces of contamination. At the center of the trammel is a large

mesh screen tunnel that rotates between 6-10 rotations per minute.
3. Wet Granulator- This granulator uses an open rotor mounted with
heavy-duty knives. These knives are spun at high speeds to cut the PET
bottles into flakes or smaller pieces to be washed.
4. Label Separator- The newly cut stream of plastic is composed of PET
flakes, paper and PP/PE/PVC film from the labels. This mixed stream is
sorted during this process. The label separator blows pressurized air into
the column and separates the paper and the film from the plastic.
5. Sink/Float Separation Tank- A large tank of water is used to separate the
different types of plastics. This tank effectively separates the bottle caps
and the left over plastic films from labels. As both the labels and bottle
caps float in water, the sinking PET flakes can easily be removed to be
further processed in the next stage.
6. Hot Washer for PET flakes- This equipment is a large washing machine.
The stream of PET flakes are washed using boiled water removing any
contaminates left. (E.g. glues, grease/oils, and beverage/food left-overs)
7. Friction Washer- A secondary washer that uses cold water to cool and
further clean the PET flakes in a scrubbing motion.
8. High Speed Dewatering Machine- The dewatering machine uses a
spinning force to remove excess water from the PET flakes. This method

is a cost-effective way to drying the PET flakes before its thermally dried.
Thermally drying consumes more energy.
9. Thermal Dryer+Cyclone Separator- The partially dried PET flakes
becomes completely dried during this process. The PET flakes travel in
long tubes filled with thermal dryers, and hot air. Then, the flakes travel to
the cyclone separator that mixes the hot, moist air with the flow of a cold
air-cooling system. The Cyclone Separator is also the last defense against
any fine contaminates such as dust.
10. Product Silo- The clean, cooled down PET flakes are stored in this large
storage tank.
11. Pelletizer/Extruder- This machine uses high heat to melt the clean PET
flakes into long strands of plastic which are cut into pellet sized plastic.

Chapter VI
Waste Disposal
Environmentally harmful substances such as waste gas, liquid and solid will be
produced during production process. For these harmful substances, the following
disposal methods have been developed:
1. Waste Gas:
A certain amount of waste gas that cannot be liquefied will be generated in the
production process of material, which mainly contains alkyl hydrogen from C1 to
C4. For this kind of waste gas, use a safety device to seal water and a gas nozzle
to burn it sufficiently, which eliminates waste gas pollution and saves a large
amount of fuels.
2. Waste Liquid:
During processing, a small amount of weakly acidic wastewater will be generated,
which is easy to be disposed. First add slightly alkaline solution to neutralize the
wastewater. Then subject the wastewater to three-grade-filtration until it is
harmless and use it as cooling water.
3. Solid Waste:
After crushing and melting of waste plastics, some solid residue will be left,
19 / 20

taking up about 1%-5% of the total amount of waste plastic. Its main constituent
is coarse carbon black, which may be used for producing industrial raw material.
Chapter VII
Production Safety
1. Fire safety: Fire fighting accesses are provided around main buildings of the
factory. Fire hydrants and fire extinguishers are also equipped inside and outside
the buildings.
2. Electrical safety: Circuits shall be serviced regularly.
3. Safety of special equipment: Regularly check equipment to remove hazards
timely.
4. Safety hazards during operation: Provide safety hazard training to operators to
enhance their awareness of hazard prevention, and equip safety facilities.
Our company will strictly abide by various safety codes and standards in Iraq.
