RESOLUTION

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PROPER OFFICIALS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF EWING TO EXECUTE A GRANT
APPLICATION THAT INCLUDES THE EWING TOWNSHIP 2010-2014 CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND 2010 ANNUAL
ACTION PLAN TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) FOR
ACTIVITIES UNDER THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING A
REQUEST FOR HUD FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS.

Whereas, HUD requires the Township of Ewing to submit and receive HUD approval of a five-year consolidated plan and an
annual action plan as part of a HUD-approved five-year consolidated plan for the Township of Ewing, and

Whereas, the Township of Ewing desires to apply for grant funds and obtain authorization from HUD to use the grant funds as
indicated in the statement of activities under the CDBG Program, and

Whereas, the Township of Ewing has sought input on its CDBG Application in accordance with its Citizens Participation Plan,
and

Whereas, a public meeting was held to receive public comments and concerns, and

Whereas, this resolution, in addition to authorizing application for grant funds and administration of same when received, also
takes the following actions:

a. Approves the 2010-2014 consolidated plan;

b. Approves the 2010 action plan portion of the 2010-2014 consolidated plan under HUD regulations;
c. Allocates funds to the projects as listed in the 2010 CDBG program;
d. Authorizes execution of documents with HUD.

Whereas, the Township of Ewing desires to continue to carryout HUD-funded programs;

Now, therefore be it RESOLVED, by the Council of the Township of Ewing in the County Mercer, and State of New Jersey, that
the 2010-2014 consolidated plan and the 2010 action plan is herby adopted and approved, that the proper Officials of the
Township of Ewing be and hereby are authorized to execute the requisite final statement application and associated grant
agreement with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for the purposes set forth herein.
