magic e. Students practiced writing words
with similar ending and beginning sounds. We
studied that book where the wild things are
and studied the setting of the book. Students
practiced sensory writing by thinking about what
they heard, saw, and felt.

and practiced roll play. We first read the

bookwhere the wild things are then students
brainstormed how they could build a forest and
what they would do. We then split into groups and
worked together. The forest they built looks
fantastic and they have already started roll playing
in creative ways.
