It is my pleasure to heartily recommend Adriana Chronopoulos for a position
with the English Montreal School Board. I taught Adriana in 2015 and 2016, when she
was in both my Classroom Practices course and my English Language Arts methods
courses. Both courses are required for the Bachelor of Education at McGill. The
courses are complements to students extended practicum in which student teachers
work with cooperating teachers in the field. As a result, I have insight into both her
work as a student in the B.Ed programme and as a pre-service teacher. In the time
that I have known her, she has always shown herself to be an excellent student,
assiduous participant, and a thoughtful, hard working and enthusiastic leader.
Adriana is a strong student, who brought a lot of energy and dedication to her
projects. She often asked difficult questions in class that made her colleagues
reconsider their positions or deepen their thinking. These are some of the
characteristics I am sure she brings to her work with teens. One of the things that
impresses me most about Adriana is her learning readiness. She is open-minded and
hard working and allows her positions to be reconsidered and her practices to be
adapted in light of new information or feedback. As you know, this is one of the
hallmarks of excellent teaching! I have every confidence that all students will grow
under her tutelage.
