To Whom It May Concern:
This is a letter of reference on behalf of Ms. Jessica Love Eckmeter, a senior BSW student in the
School of Social Work at Wayne State University. Jessica requested a letter of reference, which
is a part of her requirement for a class at Wayne State University, and I agreed to write a letter. I
am an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Wayne State University. As her
former instructor, I am qualified to evaluate her strengths.
Jessica was in my Social Work 3510: Human Behavior and the Social Environment class
during fall semester of 2014. In my class, she more than demonstrated diligence and dedication
to her studies by completing all given assignments promptly, with impressive results. I was very
impressed with her keen insights and understanding of the social work profession. In numerous
occasions, her insights significantly enhanced the quality of the class and she was able to
successfully master all the concepts covered in my class. Given her performance and her effort,
she received an A in my class.
Jessica also discussed with me her future plans, of pursuing a MSW and later, a PhD, and I
strongly encouraged her to. I also informed her I would be more than willing to provide her with
a strong reference should she asks me for one. I believe her keen insights and her analytical skills
are her major assets and I have no doubt she will be highly successful in graduate studies.
