Officer Narrative

On 04/14/15 at 2:03 pm, Officer Marks and I(dressed in Wexford Missaukee CTC gear). We
were dispatched to 2924 Ball Ave. in reference to report of a stolen property. Upon arriving we
walked up to David P. Millers, whom identified verbally, house. Officer Marks knocked on the
door. Miller answered and invited us into his home. We entered the house and I asked if he had
any ideas of who could of took his gun. He said it might of been Brian Easter. I asked how did
he meet Easter Miller said that they were friends in high school. Miller said that he saw Easter at
the high school reunion. Miller then said they went back to his house and had a few beers. Miller
then said he showed Easter his two guns a Remington 12 Gauge Shotgun blue in color serial
no. 49954. The other gun was a Smith and Wesson 45 Caliber Revolver brown in color serial
no. 88624. So after that I asked if Miller knows where Easter lived currently he said 4618 Amos
Street.

We said thank you and left. We arrived at Brian P. Easter whom identified verbally.
Officer Marks knocked on the door at first he was hesitant then he answered the door. We
asked if we could come in and Easter said what is this about. We said we had a report of stolen
property and you might be involved. So Easter said ok we can come in. We asked Easter where
he was on Saturday. He said he went to the high school reunion and then went to an old friend's
house. We asked if he could tell us who it was he said David Miller. I then asked what he did at
his house he said they had a few beers and showed him a couple of guns. So I asked if I could
search his house to make sure that he is not responsible for the missing property. Easter said it
was ok so I searched the living room while officer Marks talked to him. I got to a brown couch
next to his bedroom in front of the kitchen under the cushion there was a Remington 12 Gauge
Shotgun blue in color with a serial No. of 49954 so I walked to Easter and had Officer Marks
turn him around and place him under arrest for larceny. So while Officer Marks took Easter to
the car I searched the rest of the living room and in a light brown coffee table put in the center of
the living room in the left side in a cabinet underneath the table I found a Smith and Wesson 45
Caliber Revolver. We then took Easter to jail and ended the call.
