Mining Instn Relgrade, Yugoslavia ABSTRACT: Pamaby process was developed in 1960 by Derek Parmaby, for coal cleaning and coal ‘ecovering fom old waste dos. Later, this process as found out tobe very suitable for ROM coal cleaning 4 well Havieg problems wilt the recovery’ of fine coal, Bogevina mine commissioned the Paraby plan, ‘inary forthe clesning of -10 mm coal tom the stekpie. Besides the description of Partaby proces, this paper presents also review of portions results ofthe Pamaby plat in Bogovina. Based 00 very positive ‘experience wih Pamaby process, Mining Insitute has performed the necessary laboratory and industrial {nvestigaton inorder to determine the appliablity ofthis process on ather Vagotay’ coal, The results of his investigation, cari out on Resavia, Jesenorac, Soko, Pljevja, Suvalj and Kovin coals, coainmed that Panaby process is ery suitable for higniteand Bown coals lea L INTRODUCTION {2 1988, Bogovina separation plant was filed vp with about 160 0001 of tine col, salable duc to the high content of ash and Cad’ in the ach. Paraby plant was ppuchased fre the manufictrer “Brae Mineral Separation” of Belgium. Generally, se intention was to use the Pamaby plan, during is fist year of operation, only for clearing. the fine coal ffom the ‘Mockple, whl the exising Norton separator should continue’ the leasing of coal fom the nearly exhausted West Field of Bogovina mine.
