o Kindergarten mentorship - Pleasant Valley Elementary School: Observed in a Kindergarten
classroom three hours per week for two semesters. Worked with students that struggled with
Alphabet recognition. Created and taught a small group lesson on weather.
o Kindergarten Field Experience - Waterman Elementary School: Observed in a Kindergarten
classroom two hours per week for one semester. Worked with small group rotations during reading.
o 4th/5th grade Field Experience - Ottobine Elementary School: Observed in a 4th/5th grade
classroom two hours per week for one semester. Observed and worked with individual students
during reading. Created and taught a small group lesson on inferences.
o 1st grade tutoring - Mountain View Elementary School: Worked with a 1st grader in literacy
skills. Created structured lessons that focused on phonics skills. Lessons included exercises with
weekly spelling words, literacy based games, and practice reading appropriately leveled material.
o 5th grade Practicum - North River Elementary School: Observed and worked with students
full time for three weeks. Worked with small groups and individuals. Created and taught two
whole group lessons on fractions and metaphors.
o Kindergarten Field Experience & Professional Student Teaching - Clymore Elementary
School: 15 week full time teaching. Observed and assisted in the classroom followed by assuming
complete role and responsibility of the teacher by creating lesson plans, teaching, and building
relationships with the students.
Three year volunteer of childrens church: Volunteered in ages: infant through three year olds. Assumed
full responsibility of children.
Six years of babysitting elementary age children: Six years of babysitting elementary age children.
Assumed full responsibility of children while helping them with reading, homework, and math. Created
fun and engaging activities throughout.
