RE: Reference for Drew Anderson I had the privilege of having Drew Anderson as a student teacher at Hill Spring School for the spring of 2015 in my PE classes. I have had the chance of working with student teachers for the past few years, and was very impressed with Drew. I noticed that he had an easy going nature, and demeanor, that worked in his favour as he taught junior high aged students. With his easy going nature, he was able to build strong a rapport with many of the students which helped to solidify his standing as a teacher for them. Drew was asked to teach the badminton unit in my junior high PE classes. Although this was not an area of strength for him, he was able to teach the unit confidently and help the student to achieve the goals laid out in his lesson plans. Drew was organized, and his classes flowed in a nature that was easy to follow. The students were assessed fairly and accurately and was able to develop an appropriate voice needed to teach in a PE class. As is the case with junior high aged students, Drew was able to deal with different situations and circumstances in areas of discipline. He handled himself professionally, and was able to work with the students without losing class time or the attention of the other students. I believe that Drew will be a fantastic teacher, and am pleased that I had the opportunity to have him work at our school as a student teacher. Sincerely,
