Murray City will begin construction on the 5900 South improvements on Monday, April 4. The project will include:

Construction Schedule and Restrictions

Crews will be onsite on April 4, 2016 to begin preliminary construction activities such as utility locating, surveying
and the placement of traffic control devices. The work will begin at the west end of the project, at 700 West, and
move eastward toward State Street. Construction activities will be completed in three segments; the first will extend
from 700 West to Commerce Drive, the second from Commerce Drive to 300 West, and the third will be from
300 West to State Street.
Local traffic (residents that live on 5900 South only) and business access will be maintained at all times; however,
traffic will be restricted to one lane with the use of flaggers and heavy delays are anticipated. We encourage motorists
to avoid the area and use detours. Work will take place six days a week from sunrise to sunset through late fall.
