Students will:
1. Recognize real-world examples of fractions.
2. Demonstrate their understanding of fractions during a summative
quiz.

OUTCOMES
SLO: Demonstrate an understanding of fractions less than or equal to
one by using concrete, pictorial and symbolic representations to
name and record fractions for the parts of a whole or a set, compare
and order fractions, model and explain that for different wholes, two
identical fractions may not represent the same quantity, provide
examples of where fractions are used.

everyone is finished

o Students will create labels for the fractions they
bring and take turns sharing them with the class.
o When everyone has shared, students can wander
the classroom to look at other peoples fractions
o Take pictures of each student and the items they
bring
