My desire to be a part of the University of Virginia resulted from the fact that the

institution offers the adaptability required for engineering, a vast rapidly changing field.
The facilities and faculty at the university are outstanding.
Engineering and technology have, for long, been changing our lives- making it easier and
more comfortable. In a short while, engineering has changed the way we look at every
single thing. It is this field that made possible, the transition from bullock cart to the
super fast racing cars.
My interest in engineering kick-started at the age of seven, when I broke open the T.V
remote so as to understand its functioning. This interest blossomed in high school, that
instilled in me the desire to take up a course in engineering, more precisely, biomedical
engineering.
When I first learned about cardiac pacemakers, insulin pens, artificial kidneys, they
sparked my curiosity. The more I learned about these fascinating devices, the more they
seemed to interest me. These innovative devices prove essential to many suffering from
ailments. People need a difference in their lives. With biomedical engineering, I hope to
bring about that difference, thereby helping them lead more comfortable and confident
lives.
Biomedical engineering is a fast developing field apart from being a major necessity. I
wish to complete the course at the University of Virginia, for the conditions there are
likely to produce results complementing my aspirations.
