Instagramming History

compose photo narratives from multiple
perspectives to demonstrate historical
empathy.

Today you will assume the role of an individual living during the WWI era and you will
create an Instagram account from his/her perspective. You will use your assigned primary source
and guide sheet to gain perspective. Once you have constructed some background knowledge
you may use an electronic device to create an Instagram account for your character (link it to
your school e-mail if necessary).
-You will need to post three actual historical photographs showing what life was like for your
individual during WWII.
-Each photo needs to include a location, a hashtag your individual might have used in this
situation, a full sentence caption explaining what is happening in the picture, and the year the
photo was taken (include in the caption). Feel free to incorporate tags, filters, and emojis but
focus on the other aspects first.
-You should also use the Edit Your Profile function to add a Bio describing your individual.
You might chose to include his/her age, original location, family information, passions etc.
-YOU MUST FOLLOW MY TEACHER ACCOUNT (ms.devecchis) AND ALLOW THAT ACCOUNT TO
FOLLOW YOUR CHARACTERS ACCOUNT
