FT1DR/DE Software Update Information

Refer to the software update procedure instructions in the help files (.chm files) inside the
ZIP folders.
Currently we have two different destination versions USA and EXP (including EU, AUS and
CHN) of the FT1DR/DE. Please open the help file and review the information before starting the
update software.
You must check the version radio you have and use the correct update software. The destination
is marked on the box serial number label. See the below label example for USA destination. If the
box in not available, the country you purchased the radio in may indicate the destination. If the
FCC part 15 rules statement is on the radio above the Serial/ID label, it is the USA version. Other
versions will not have the FCC label.

DST: USA version covers North and South America [FT1D_ver204(USA).zip]

DST: EU/EXP/AUS/CHN covers all countries [FT1D_ver204(EXP).zip]
(EXP version software should be installed in all units other than USA)

After updating the MAIN software the DSP software must also be updated.

DSP software [PCTOOLe_v1.07.zip] is for all countries.

CAUTION:
Please be sure to confirm the model and the version of your transceiver before starting the update.
Writing incorrect firmware to the transceiver may cause abnormal operation or failure.

New Additional AMS Features. Refer to the Important change in AMS Feature.
A standby beep function has been added to make a pip sound when the received digital signal has
ended in a digital mode. The default setting is ON, but it can be turned off in the STANDBY
BEEP set mode.
Additional functions are improved and optimized.

NOTE: NOTE: When MAIN Software V2.04 is installed you must check the DSP Software version.
If you do not have V1.07 DSP Software, then it must also be installed at the same time (otherwise it
may not function correctly). Refer to the Help File to find how to check the Main and DSP software
version.

If you already have Main V2.04 and DSP V1.07 software versions, it is not necessary to update
the FT1DR/DE again.
