    HomeDepotwouldbeagreatstoretosellmyproductbecausetheyalsoselldoorlocksand
    keys,whichiswhatmyproductisusedfor.

    Statistic,itsaysburglarspreferanunlockeddoororwindowforeasyaccess.Italsosaidthat
    mostburglariesoccurwhenthehouseholdownersareoutatworkoratschool.Withoutthe
    securityofalockeddoor,youcouldloseanaverageof$2,119ofyourprizedpossessions.

    Myinventionisalittlejacketthatcouldstretchovertheheadofthekeyitself.Withaflexible
    jacket,thecovercanbeputonmanytypesofkeys.Ontheareawhereyouholdthekeywhen
    youunlockorlockthedoor,therewouldbeaplasticbuttonlikepiecethatwouldclickinward
    whenpressureisappliedtoit.Thisway,whenyouaredrivingorwalkingsomewhereandthe
    questionofthedayhitsyou,youcouldjustlookatyourkeyandyoucouldseethatthebutton
    ispushedinward.Thatwouldindicateyouhavelockedyourdoorandeverythingwouldbesafe.
    Also,ifyouforgotandseeyourkeycoverhasthebuttonopen,youwouldbealertedthatyour
    keyhasntbeenturnedtolockthedoor.Intheinterior,therewouldbepiecesofsiliconethat
    wouldhelpholdthebuttoninandwouldalsopopupifthebuttonweretobepushedinagain.It
    activateswhenthekeyisusedtolockorunlockadoor.

    Myproductwouldbemadefor
    polypropyleneplastic
    and
    (99%)RegularGradeSilicon
    .The
    siliconwouldbeusedfortheexterioroftheproductandcostsabout$0.50pergallon.The
    polypropylene,alsoknownaspolypropene,plasticwouldbeusedtomakethebuttonandit
    wouldcostabout$0.82perpound.Lastly,thecompressionspringthatisgoingtobeputintothe
    insideoftheproductcostsabout
    $4.38forapackof4.
    IfIamgoingtouseoneofthem,itwould
    costabout$1.09.Thecostofmyproductwouldbeabout$1.10tomakeasingleunit.

    Iunderstandthatsomepeoplewouldthinkthatmyproductwouldnotbeusefuliftheydontuse
    thefrontdoor.Although,Iunderstandthatmanypeopleneverusetheirfrontdoor,thisinvention
    wouldstillprovehelpfulforthembecausetheLockSmartwouldbeabletofitoveranythingthat
    youwouldneedtokeeptabson.Itwouldfitoverakeybuttonthatisusedtolockyourgateor,
    dependingofthetypeofcarkey,youcanuseittorememberifyouclickedthebuttonthatis
    usedtolockyourcar.Myproductisveryversatileandcanbeveryusefulforacustomerwho
    wantthatextrasecurity.

    LockSmartisstillaworkinprogress,butIbelieveitwouldhelpeverybodywhoisasforgetfulas
    me.Beingversatileandeasytouse,itwouldbegreattomanypeopleandwouldappealtoall.
    Eventheblindcanuseit,sinceitreliesontouchandfeel.Thisproductcouldbeoneofthekeys
    tohelpputreduceburglariesandhelppeoplefeelsecureabouttheirsafety.
