Congratulations! You have been selected as a member of the 2016 Class of Daniels Scholars. Our
founder, Bill Daniels, valued strength of character, leadership potential, giving back to the
community, academic performance and promise, and well-roundedness. You were chosen because
you demonstrate these qualities. An exciting new chapter in your life is just beginning, but frrst
there are some essential steps you must take to accept your scholarship.
Please review the enclosed Guide to Accepting the Daniels Scholarship and follow the instructions
to complete the information and upload the required documents on the Daniels Scholarship
Program Offer Packer website which will be accessible online at www.DanielsScholarship.org
beginning March 29. You will be able to log into this site using the same email address and
password that you have used throughout the selection process. In the meantime, to read more about
the scholarship, you can access the Daniels Scholarship Requirements Handbook at
www. DanielsFund. org/S cholarHandbook. asp.

AII information and documents must be completed and uploaded by May 1, 2016.
You are required to attend our summer orientation conference - Scholars Heading Into the Future
Together (SHIFT) - June 14-17 at the University of Denver. Expenses are paid by the Daniels
Fund, and round-trip transportation will be provided for scholars living outside the Denver metro
area. Please review the enclosed, SHIFT Preparation Guide for more details.
Finally, if you decide not to accept the Daniels Scholarship (for example, if you have received a
full-ride scholarship from another orgarization), you must complete and upload the Declination
Form accessible on the home page at www.DanielsScholarship.org no later than May 1,2016.
