What were
learning
this
month

We will be exploring fractions. We will also do

a revision on measurement.
Science: We will continue to focus on learning

about structures and mechanisms, including

what they are made from and their functions.

Social Studies: We will be learning about

people and places in the community

Visual Arts: We will be exploring symmetry and

geometric and organic shapes in our artwork.

As the spring weather arrives,

please ensure that your child is
dressed accordingly. A rain
jacket and rubber boots are
encouraged for those wet and
extra muddy days. Please
refrain from sending
umbrellas.
In addition, please make sure
that your child has an extra set of clothes at school, especially an extra pair of socks and pants.
Please remember MJPS is an ecoschool and we continue to encourage students to be eco-friendly. Please
remind students to bring litterless lunches, turn off the lights when no one is using a room and reduce,
reuse and recycle. We are happy to be able to collect organic waste at our school and continue to work on
teaching students how to recycle materials appropriately.
