Program(s)/Tools:

Objectives:
Create a varied selection of Logos for a
company or personal use
Understand basic tools of Illustrator.

Process:
The first thing I did was select fonts that I liked and
fit the theme of my company from DaFont.com. I inserted this typography into an Illistrator document
and then I designed my cupcake.
I used the square tool for the base of the cupcake and for the topper. I rounded off the edges
of both shapes. I moved the anchor points of the
cupcake base to give it its shape. I then used the
cricle tool and triangle tool to create the heart to
go in the center of the cupckae base.

I used the theme La vi en Rose all through out the brochure. I choose
images based on fashion to match my theme. And especially the picture of
Audrey Hepburn in all pink to show Life in Pink.
I created glasses in Illustrator to further my theme La vi en Rose becuase it
can be explained as seeing life through rose colored lenses.
I also carfull selected and cut out images of models to show what the fashion line will consist of. I cut out the images using the direct selection tool.
I then refined the edges and saved each image with a transparent background as a png.
Finally I designed a logo for the line in Illustrator using the rose colored
lenses I had created and the typography I had used for the line. I put these
together in a circle, and placed the logo on the back of the brochure.

Program(s)/Tools:

Adobe Illustrator

Objectives:
Use basic Indesign and Illustator tools
Design consistant business layouts for varied
medium
Design new logo

Process:

I began by creating a logo using simple shapes in

Adobe Illustrator. I also used the shape builder tool
create a nice curve in my triangles to match the circle of
my sunflower. Once my logo was designed I opened up
a separate page in Adobe Indesign and placed my .AI
file into this document.
I decided to make my business card using this first page. I
began by using the rectangel tool to create a 2 x 3.5 in
box, for the back of my card. I then copy and pasted this
box for the front of my card. I placed my logo on each
side of the business card, and added in the necessary
contact information to the front side of my card. I made
sure to align everything and keep my body copy in and
8-10 point font range.

I inserted the link to these fonts right under the header in my HTML and
then the names of the fonts with in my CSS. I also used specific padding around my logo to make it centered. Finally I inserted an image I
designed in illustrator to be my background using CSS code, this was
one of the most difficult parts of my design.
