Set Induction:

1. point to the letters m and n and say the phonemes /m/ and /n/
correctly;
2. blend and segment single syllable words with /m/ and /n/ sounds
correctly;
3. read sentences with 3 to 5 words correctly with guidance.

Assessment: Observation Pupils are able to segment and blend the words
correctly. Pupils are able to read words, phrases and simple sentences with
correct pronunciation of all the words.
1. Pupils did revision on the words they learned last week.
2. Teacher shows the list of words on page 19 of the textbook.

Activities:

1. Teacher demonstrates how to blend and segment the words. Teacher


uses hand puppets or soft toys to attract pupils interests.
2. Pupils work in small groups. Teacher says aloud the individual phonemes
of the words.
3. Pupils blend the sounds and arrange the phoneme cards to form the
correct words.
4. Teacher divides the classroom into three stations. Teacher puts up
reading cards on the wall of each station.
5. Pupils get into groups and move from one station to another to read the
reading cards at each station.
