Mesa, AZ 85202 To Whom It May Concern: I am interested in applying for a teaching position in Roosevelt School District Schools. I will be graduating this May from Arizona State University. I am pursuing my Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education with a bilingual endorsement. I am interested in working in Title 1 schools and support the community of South Phoenix. I am completing my student teaching at Valley View Elementary School in the Roosevelt School District. I am placed in a 6th grade dual language classroom. Through the year I have been able to immerse myself in the community, learn about the curriculum structure and mission of the district. My experience at Arizona State University has prepared me to work in diverse classroom environments, collaborate, and develop efficient lessons to assist every student. The two year program has provide me with the tools to become highly experienced in developing lesson plans for a classroom environment that is stimulating, engaging, and efficient to accommodate the diverse learning styles of each student. Established capacity to teach, motivate, and direct students while maintaining high levels of achievement and interest. During my junior year I interned in two diverse classrooms. My first semester, I was placed at Encanto Elementary School in a 3rd grade dual language classroom in the Osborn School District. Second semester, I was placed at Loma Linda Elementary School in a 5th grade ELL classroom. These experiences allowed me to work within diverse age groups and communities. I am excited to work in a place where administrators, teachers and parents are engaged in the education journey of the students. Assisting them to become the next leaders of society. Thank you for your consideration, Lizbet Carrillo
