Group Assignment
Objective
Apply the project management methodology presented in classroom to a real case in order to produce the
Project Execution Plan for the case.
The case is to be selected by the group, and the reasons for that selection must be explained.
Final deliverable: the Project Execution Plan.
NOTE: Keep in mind that the exercise must be focused on processes and methods.
Methodology
The Project Plan will be developed by as a group home assignment, along the term.
During each project phase discussions will take place.
Deliverables
1. Project Charter.
2. Formal bound document in accordance with the attached specification.

The final document must be structured as follows:
Cover
Introduction
A short note explaining why the document was produced (i.e., done in partial fulfilment of the requirements for
approval in the Project Management Course in 2015-2016).
The reasons why the group chose the project

Table of Contents
The Project Team
List the members of the Project team; specify the role each one plays in the organization; for each member, list the
individual competences that justify his / her inclusion in the team.

Project Objective
Describe the global objective for the project and specify the project acceptance criteria.

Business Justification
Specify the long term business objectives to be achieved with the projects results.

Scope Statement
Develop an appropriate Scope Statement.

Stakeholders
Identify the stakeholders, their roles, and their potential impact on the project.

Activity Planning
Develop the Work Breakdown Structure
Develop the Responsibility Matrix (R-A-C-I)

Time and Resources Planning

Milestones
Produce a Milestone Table, with associated dates and responsible entities.
Develop the Gantt Chart
Groups of Activities, Critical and Non-critical Activities, and Milestones
