In 9 short weeks, 3rd grade students will experience Rights and Responsibility field trips, MAP testing, WIDA testing, and a celebration of learning before the school year ends. They continue working on persuasive writing, fractions, and rights and responsibilities, and will soon start a new unit on indigenous people after Spring Break. Important upcoming dates include Spring Break from April 11-15, an International Festival on April 24, and no school on April 29 for a teacher work day.

Where has the year gone?! When we arrive back to school from Spring Break, we will have only 9 weeks of 3rd grade left! In this time we will have Rights and Responsibility field trips, MAP testing, WIDA testing and our celebration of learning. So many things going on, so make sure that you pay attention when your homeroom teacher sends out notices. We continue to work on our persuasive writing, fractions in math, and rights and responsibilities. Soon we will shift focus to a new unit of inquiry, which will be about indigenous people. We will start work on this after Spring Break. Exciting stuff!!
