pH Control

Working:
pH control is a common issue in many industrial processes. The basic idea to control
pH variation in some liquid flow , usually making pH close to 7 as possible.
The influent liquid flows into a tank where it is mixed with an amount of a
concentrated reagent to alter its pH.The reagent would be basic with pH larger than
the effluent, since it is desirable to as little volume to effluent as possible. The
control of pH is common in chemical process and biotechnological industries where
pH control is very critical and PID controller aids to stable the process..They work in
such a way that we had to get pH of 7, so PID controller sense the pH of solution
using pH meter and send signal to make solution pH to 7. They altering it rapidly
means there is a mixing of an acid or base according to a constant proportion to
make a solution neutral by the addition of fixed amount of acid and base .

APPLICATION:
The pH measurement is essential not only finding the characterization of a
substance but also a first step toward managing chemical reactions .
The most common use of pH control is in a waste water treatment plant where pH is
nearly about 4,so we employs PID controller to make its pH near to 7,it is very
important to an environmental point of view. As we not alter its pH, it is very
dangerous to human beings life but also to a marine life.
