UNDERGROUND
Alex is on the train with her agent, discussing the audition
shes on her way to.
AGENT
Do you remember what you have to
do?
ALEX
Yeah... Yeah...
AGENT
Lets go over it one more time. The
address is on this phone
The agent hands Alex the iPhone...
AGENT
You go to this address, you talk to
the receptionist and you tell her
that youre here for the audition.
You walk in, BE CONFIDENT, and
smash that audition! You havent
got a job in a year, so you need
this. Understood?
ALEX
Yes, yes I get it. Ill get it,
stop worrying.
AGENT
Just remember, you have social
media pages on this phone. Keep
them happy and keep them posted.
Simple.
At the oncoming stop, the Agent gets off the train. As the
agent gets off the train, Alex is already on her phone and
interacting with the social media pages. The train door
closes and the train begins to move.
Alex receives a snap chat video from her agent saying
Remember this is a YouTube audition, not a short film
audition! Plenty of Emojis are used throughout the
snapchat to emphasise the excitement.
The train thens goes through the tunnel which turns the
screen pure black, it leads onto Hammersmith Station.

INT.HAMMERSMITH STATION
Alex exits the station with her focus plastered on her
phone. She walks towards the station exit.
EXT. OUTSIDE LYRIC THEATRE
Alex is looking at her Google Maps, she realises shes at
the right place and so she opens the door and walks in.
INT. LYRIC THEATRE
Alex walks up to the reception desk, as shes waiting shes
using her tablet
ALEX
Good afternoon, I have an audition
today for 2pm?
RECEPTIONIST
Alright darlin, name please.
ALEX
Alex...?
RECEPTIONIST
Thats fine... Just take a seat
yeah
Alex walks over and takes a seat. She begins to use her
phone excessively. As she is sitting down a few people are
taking photos of Alex with cameras and phones.
The receptionist then calls Alex for the audition
RECEPTIONIST
Alex! Come this way, youre next!
The receptionist then guides Alex over to the audition room.
Before she goes in she asks to take a photo.
RECEPTIONIST
You only have have 1000 followers?!
Hopefully this job will give you
more because you slacking honey.
INT. AUDITION ROOM
Alex walks into the audition room where theres 6 judges on
the panel. She walks into the centre of the room in front of
them.

JUDGE 1
ALEX

JUDGE 1
Off you go..
ALEX
Im going to act ...
One of the judges raises their arm and interrupts:
JUDGE 4:
Thats enough for now.
Alex breathes heavily.
JUDGE 4:
That was good.
All the judges murmur a resounding agreement
JUDGE 4:
I am happy to say you have got the
part. However, we dont have any
time to waste, take this script and
you have 3 hours until you must act
it out to us.
Alex walks towards the desk and picks up the script handed.
JUDGE 4:
The receptionist will show you to a
room where you can sit and learn
the script.
ALEX
Thats great! Thank you.
Alex leaves the audition room and is taken to the dressing
room to allow her some time to practice her lines.
INT. DRESSING ROOM
Alex is in the dressing room, she begins going through her
script and slowly begins to lose concentration as her phone
begins to take priority.
It would have been about 3 hours that Alex has distanced
herself from her script and instead was absorbed in her
phone activities.

Receptionist enters the room.

RECEPTIONIST
You ready, darlin? Lets go!
Alex is startled and immediately jumps up and follows the
receptionist out of the room.
INT.STUDIO
Alex walks into the set and is approached by the Director.
He is explaining the situation to Alex and what she needs to
do.. However, as she is looking around the studio lights,
all the cameras are being pointed at her and the nerves are
building up. As she is walking through the set and is
running through her script, the Director instantly snatches
it out of her hands.
DIRECTOR
Come on! Come on! Get on, were
shooting in 5.
Alex stutters as she tries to say parts of the script.
ALEX
"............"
DIRECTOR
CUT! Alex, whats happening?! YOU
HAD 3 HOURS!
ALEX
Sorry. Sorry, I got it, Sorry, I
got it
The people on set reset the studio so that Alex can shoot
this scene.
ACTION!

DIRECTOR

Alex retries to recite and act out her lines and fails
again.
ALEX
"............"
Alexs vision begins to blur and her breathing becomes
rapid.
Alex faints and it blacks out.

JASON
CUT! PERFECT!
Alex wakes and the whole studio crowds in to Alex
cheering. Jason, Humaira, Lucas, Julia, Roshan and the crew
all gather together to celebrate completion of the project.
