Progression Advisor, Kings Education, Boston, MA
2015-Present
Assist international students with transition to academic life on a U.S. college campus,
including helping students choose their major, pick classes, set goals, & get involved in the
campus community. Also responsible for record keeping/updating, monthly presentations &
workshops, liaise between Kings Education & Pine Manor College, event planning, and
communication with agents & family members abroad.
2014-2015
Taught & assisted in English Language classrooms at the secondary & university level in
Prizren, Kosovo. Created & ran workshops at the Embassy-funded American Corner.
Represented the Fulbright Program & the United States at events hosted by the U.S. Embassy
Prishtina. Presented educational research & facilitated teacher-training workshops to teachers
& university professors. Acted as a cultural liaison through extensive presentations.
2014
Taught Journalism in a pre-college summer enrichment program for advanced national &
international high school students. Organized site visits, guest speakers, & student
presentations. Wrote syllabus & all lesson plans. College preparedness & planning oriented.

Classroom instruction in Senior English and A.P. Literature classes. Included lesson
planning, grading, professional development, parent-teacher conferences, filed trips, etc.

Taught Reading and Writing in a pre-college summer enrichment program in Flint, Michigan
to high school students who scored in the top 30% of their entrance exams. Co-wrote the
entrance exam and developed the curriculum for the six-week course.

Interviewed undergraduate students from across Kosovo with a panel of three other
professionals for the prestigious UGRAD program, which gives students the opportunity to
study in the U.S. for one year. We chose the top four candidates out of 16 finalists.

Discussed the ways in which English teachers of all age groups can personalize the English
classroom by providing activities that are supplemental to a textbook. Presentation stemmed
from a growing need I observed during my time as a Fulbright grantee in Kosovo.

Breaking Ground: The First Decade of Women at the University of Michigan-Flint.
