As an ESE Placement Specialist, I serve as an LEA at Charter school meetings. I conduct
staffings, re-evaluation meetings, 504 plans and FAPES. I ensure schools are in
compliance.I act as a resource to the school personnel regarding ESE rules, regulations,
compliance requirements, program needs, school responsibilities, positive behavioral
supports, discipline concerns, functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans,
and other ESE related concerns including implementation of Individuals with Disabilities
Education Act.
PROGRAM SPECIALIST, HIALEAH MIAMI-LAKES SENIOR HIGH
JAN. 2014 - PRESENT

As a program Specialist, I coordinate educational placement and appropriate services for

students with disabilities. I serve as LEA (Local Education Agency) representative at IEP, RT
and Manifestation Determination meetings. I manage all ESE functions within the school
and ensure compliance in all areas of ESE. I act as a resource to the school personnel
regarding ESE rules, regulations, compliance requirements, program needs, school
responsibilities, positive behavioral supports, discipline concerns, functional behavior
assessments, behavior intervention plans, and other ESE related concerns including
implementation of Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

As an ESE educator, I serviced students with disabilities in the inclusion setting as well as
the resource setting. I collaborated and consulted with general education teachers and other
professionals that serviced my students. As the department chair, I assisted with scheduling,
ESE compliance and staffings.
