Assignment 3 Proposal: Digital Narrative

This image is by Nan Goldin; her work is weird and a little creepy with its blatant regard
for the physical and horrific events that happen behind closed doors. This image reminds me of a
possession situation and I like the idea of having a mysterious feeling about the image. I want to
create something equivalent to the creepiness of this above image.
For my project I would like to create an atmosphere that reflects what you would expect
in a scary horror film about possession or an Exorcism. I want to incorporate music with my
image and have thought about something by Florence and the Machine or Clarity. I will wear
either all white or all black clothing to mask by body along with having several images of myself
within the image to create a ghostly appearance. I need to figure out how to levitate objects in
my image either by holding them or having someone hold them for me and then edit them out.
There will be blood, but I havent decided yet where the blood will be placed. I am also inspired
by the Shining so there may be a REDRUM in the background. I think, if I have time, will decide
to play with light from candles as well.
