WHAT IS IT?
Mnires Disease is a condition that affects the inner ear that is also known
as idiopathic endolymphatic hydrops. in which you feel as if you're spinning
(vertigo), and you have hearing loss with a progressive, ultimately
permanent loss of hearing, ringing in the ear (tinnitus), and sometimes a
feeling of pressure in the ear. In most cases, Meniere's disease affects only
one ear.

SYMPTOMS
Vertigo- There may be a sense that the room is spinning, twisting or
rocking. The balance can be severely affected. The sensation can last from
a few minutes to several hours. After the vertigo goes away, a sense of
imbalance can remain for hours or days.

WHO IT AFFECTS
The condition affects men and women, and usually begins between the
ages of 20 and 50. Usually only one ear is affected, although 10% to 15% of
people with Mnire's disease develop it in both ears.

CURES/TREATMENT
There is no cure for Mnires Disease, some treatments may herbal
remedies and various types of medication
A low-salt diet help relieve symptoms by taking fluid away from the head
and ear and maintaining the fluid balance in the body. Avoiding caffeine and
alcohol may also help.
Theres also the option of the surgery, the most common surgery is called
the labyrinthectomy in most of the cases it relives the vertigo but it resuslts
in total hearing and and balance loss in the affected ear .

WHAT THE DISEASE DOES TO THE


SENSES
The episodes of vertigo and permanent hearing loss can be the most
difficult problems of Meniere's disease. The disease can interrupt your life
and cause fatigue, emotional stress, depression and anxiety.

DIAGNOSIS
Diagnosing Mnires disease can be difficult. The doctor cannot examine
the inner ear directly, so there is no simple way to tell if fluid has built up.
Usually, the doctor will diagnose Mnires disease if its experience the
typical symptoms and other possible causes of the symptoms
