Sammi Beyer, a junior at the University of North Florida says, Service helps you grow as a person and opens your eyes to the needs of the world. Kappa Delta serves the communit hrough confidence initiatives, working with the Girl Scouts and nationally working with Prevent Child Abuse America. Its amazing the things you can do and the lives you can change with just little effort. Kappa Deltas national sorority serves the Prevent Child Abuse America as their national philanthropy since 1981.

Panhellenic Councils 2013-2014 annual report, sorority women raised over $5.7 million for philanthropies. These women have also completed nearly 1 million community service hours as well. Kaitlyn Healy describes how her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, has given her multiple opportunities for service and helping her community. Service means giving back to my community. Theta has helped me help others bu giving me an abundance of opportunities to give back to the Jacksonville community whether it be volunteering at the Nemours Childrens Hospital by throwing a spring party for the oncology department or by cleaning the local childrens YMCA. Theta allows me to give back to my community selflessly. Philanthropies are close to the sorority womens heart who serve them. Caitlin Schwab is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and their philanthropy is Breast Cancer Awareness and Education. She explains what Zetas involvment with this philanthropy means to her, Service means being able to contribte back to something that has affected your life. ZTA helps me volunteer at cancer walks and the Susan G Komen marathon. Zetas grants me the opportunity to give back to a cause that has affected my life personally.
