PLASTICS

Plasticis a material consisting of any of a wide range of

syntheticor semi-syntheticorganicsthat aremalleableand can
bemoldedinto solid objects of diverse shapes. Plastics are
typicallyorganic polymersof highmolecular mass, but they
often contain other substances. They are usually synthetic, most
commonly derived frompetrochemicals, but many are partially
natural.[2]Plasticityis the general property of all materials that
are able to irreversibly deform without breaking, but this occurs
to such a degree with this class of moldablepolymersthat their
name is an emphasis on this ability.

WHY TO RECYCLE PLASTIC?

Plastic in the oceans is responsible for the deaths of millions of sea animals.

Plastic never degrades

Incinerating plastic contributes to greenhouse gases

Plastics contain harmful chemicals

Making new plastic requires significant amounts of fossil fuels

WHAT IS PLASTIC RECYCLING?

Process of reprocessing plastic that already has been used before and
giving it some new reusable form.

SUMMARY

BY TALHA RAEES

SUMMARY

Plastic is a type of polymer which is moldable.

We recycle plastic because majority of it is not biodegradable

except biodegradable plastic.

Recycling of plastic has more advantages than its disadvantage.

We recycle plastic using different processes like (heat

compression),(thermal depolymerization) etc.

It helps in reducing pollution and conserve resources.
