in his first four seasons with the Chiefs. In 2014, he

diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma it
was sure to set back his career. But he
didnt give up. He fought hard and
came back the next season to have
one of the best seasons of his career
including a pro bowl selection, AP allpro and comeback player of the year.
These are highly prestigious awards in
the NFL. He has inspired many people
in the NFL family

and returned to the Chiefs in 2015.

A year ago, Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry was in
the middle of chemotherapy treatments for Hodgkins
lymphoma and facing an uncertain NFL future.
The Chiefs tried to ease Berry back to work, but he
was participating in full-contact drills by early August
and back in the starting lineup in Week 2. He made his
first interception in Week 7 and by the end of the
season; he was named to the Pro Bowl. He invited his
main cancer nurse to make the trip to Hawaii with him
to celebrate their journey.

Charity work
Eric was a nominee for the
Walter Peyton man of the year
award, an award given out to
those have outstanding
contributions to their
community and charity work.
On Dec 2nd he helped raise
$20,000 for his foundation;
Eric Berry foundation. The
proceeds went to
underprivileged kids youth
football camp. A cause he has
had passion for a long time.
