Does Music Bring People Together?

How and Why?
So, before beginning to answer this question, I automatically decided that the
answer is yes, and if you go around asking for peoples opinions, you will most likely
always get that same answer. So yes, of course you THINK so, but is it really true?
As you can already tell, this is kind of a question that Google cant really answer.
Yes, of course it will show up under Wikipedia, but thats obviously not a very
reliable site because anyone can say anything that will fool the gullible people into
believing anything. The only way for me to get out the word with full proof and
great opinions is to turn to the experts and see what kind of quotes, videos, blogs,
and articles they have. The reason there isnt real world proof is because this is a
very opinionated question, and the only real way to prove your point is to use
spiritual, emotional, and logical evidence, along with life experiences. So, yes, as I
said at first, I do believe that music does cause togetherness or musical
togetherness as I more frequently call it. I am proving this with quotes by experts
and people who seem to know a bit about what they are talking about.
Music has a great power for bringing people together. With so many forces in this
world acting to drive wedges between people, its important to preserve those
things that help us experience our common humanity. (Ted Turner) This helps us to
bring out the true meaning of musical togetherness because it makes you think
about it. It helps you to see that it does exist because it is one reason that people
can even tolerate each other. Without music, we wouldnt be able to bond at a
campfire or in a car on a road trip with your family. Because of this, musical
togetherness is real.
Music has the power to bring people together like no other art form. (Michael
Franti) This is absolutely true. Think about it. We all know that a portrait is art, but

when you are sitting at a bonfire, does anyone ever pull out a portrait when quality
time is being spent at the fire? No they dont because they sing campfire songs! The
music of the campfire songs make people want to be together in the moment they
are singing the campfire songs.
Making music together is the best way for people to become friends. This proves
the point because it answered my question on why celebrities can become friends
so easily, even though they have assorted personalities. The reason is because they
connect through music, especially the musicians because they not only listen to
music together, but they make it together.
Now that we know that music brings us together, the real question is how does it
bring us together?
I believe music brings us together because it sparks us with emotion and makes us
become much more welcoming than before they were listening to music. We
especially let people in our life easier if they listen to the same type of music as us
because it usually means we have similar personalities. We get these emotions
because the brain imposes structure and order on a sequence of sounds that, it
effect, creates an entirely new system of meaning. (Psych Central) That pretty
much means that when listening to music, it can give us a feeling that sparks a
certain emotion. So, by listening to music, it may spark the feeling of letting new
people into your life, even if they are entirely new to you.
