Teacher Interview
Teacher: Mrs. Blessing
1.) How do you plan your daily lessons? I have developed a curriculum guide which has
helped me tremendously by placing certain standards during certain weeks.
2.) How flexible are your lesson plans? They are very flexible, given that things happen
and teachers need to be able to flexible all the time. Teachers need to make sure they are
able to reteach anything if needed or change plans at the drop of the hat in the event that
something occurs.
3.) Are you required to hand in lesson plans? No.
4.) Do you ever change what you have planned? Why? Yes, as a teacher you usually have
to change what you have planned to meet the needs of the students. There may even be a
case where a great idea for a new lesson that you feel fits better with the curriculum you
are teaching may come at the last minute.
5.) Is there a district curriculum guide for this grade? Yes.
6.) How do you use it? I use the curriculum guide to place certain standards during certain
weeks.
7.) Where do you get new ideas about how to teach something? I get new ideas for
instruction methods through lots of training, using google to find different ideas and build
off of them, I talk to other teachers and also make good use of Pinterest like most other
teachers do.
8.) What do you do when students attention shifts? I redirect or adjust what we may be

doing in class to get them to get back on task and focus on what they need to get done.
