Local philanthropist donates millions to Jacksontown Hospital; funding to be used
for new cancer research centre.

WHAT:

Peter Elgin, owner of Jentec, an international auto-parts

manufacturing company, will be donating $10 million to
the Jacksontown Hospital. The money will be used to
build a new cancer research centre, which will be known
as the Elgin Cancer Research Centre.

WHEN:

Thursday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m.

WHY:

The Jacksontown Hospital wishes to acknowledge the

generosity of Peter Elgin. The hospital wants to discuss
the construction of the new cancer research centre.
