Loyola University Chicago Candidate for Graduation, Spring 2016
Dear ePortfolio Committee:
Lillianna Franco is an excellent representation of a model student in the Higher
Education masters program at Loyola University Chicago! Not only does she go above and beyond in her schoolwork, she gives her time and energy to countless causes for education and justice outside of the program. She walks her talk to try to live a genuine and purposeful life as she takes mentoring younger students very seriously. In the two years I have known Lillianna, she keeps her eye on her true passion, working for marginalized populations. She wants to give every person a voice and create a just, equitable world. Presentation skills in the classroom and in her graduate assistantship emphasize her intelligence and ability to speak to a diverse group of individuals. In her current office, the Center for Experiential Learning, her colleagues raves about her stellar performance and innovative ideas! She is incredibly organized and communicates with coworkers, classmates, supervisors, and community partners clearly and with a positive attitude. Keeping her mind open for inspiration and continual learning, she makes the most of her courses and follows the call of learning in every avenue in her life. The standards she holds for herself are deeply important to her, and she commits herself to completing tasks but also dropping anything if someone needs a hand. Lillianna truly embodies Loyolas mission of social justice. After this program, she will continue to set the world on fire! Her life experiences such as coaching soccer, traveling to speak about setting goals and following dreams make clear her motivation for social justice. She is always thinking of what more can be done to serve and empower students. It is hard to put into words Lilliannas commitment to justice and education. Her dedication and care for students and higher education is unparalleled. Lillianna gives herself to causes with joy and a smile. Please consider Lillianna Franco as a candidate for graduation in the Masters in Higher Education program in the College of Education for Spring 2016.
Sincerely,
Katerina Reilly M.Ed. Candidate in Higher Education Loyola University Chicago
