    The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a program run by the United Way of Robeson County that provides age-appropriate books to children from birth to age five at a cost of $18 per child sponsorship. A pay it forward letter was developed by interns and the agency coordinator to raise money from parents of children who graduated from the program to sponsor more children, allowing parents to give back to their community.     The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a program sponsored and paid for by the United

    Way of Robeson County


    The program gives age appropriate books to children from the age of birth to five years old
    It cost $18 to sponsor a child

    PAY IT FORWARD LETTER

    A Pay It Forward letter was developed by two MSW interns and I


    The letters were for the parents of the graduated children from the Dolly Parton

    Imagination Library
    The letter was developed to raise money to sponsor more children and it is a way parents

    can give back to their community by sponsoring children in the program


    Along with the letter, graduation certificates for the children were included

    LETTER DISTRIBUTION

    Graduated report (past 12 months)


    We printed out mailing labels, letters, and certificates and stuffed them in envelopes
    We bulk mailed over 800 letters and certificates to the graduated childrens parents in

    February
    In March, we mailed 119 letters and certificates

    RESULTS

    Currently, we have raised $116


    Every month, we will send out the letters and certificates to keep raising money
