To view hidden files / folder, go to computer > Organize > View > Check Show hidden
files.
Goalseek option ( Excel) : Go to Data>what if analysis>Goalseek. If you download
XlXTRFUN software and then place ( after extraction from zip) XlXTrfun.xll
in Office
2007 > Excel , then you will get more Add-in features in Excel 2007 such as
Interpolate.
In Excel, Simultaneous equations solved by SOLVER option in
Data>Analysis>SOLVER. Pl refer to procedure in D>Maths folder>Solving eqns using
Excel Solver.
In Excel 2007, Pivot table and chart is an effective feature to analyse a table already
prepared in Excel. Pivot is accessed through Insert e.g. it can sum up multiple entries
for east zone showing respective no. of items and pivot table will give a cumulative
figure for east zone. Similarly pivot chart can be generated.
About creating a graph and area under graph : In Excel sheet enter co-ordinate
values for both axes>click insert from toolbar>select scatter type graph>right click on
empty graph>click on select data tab>select x and y coordinate column one after the
other from Excel sheet>graph is generated. Now for finding area under curve ,create
additional column for the area and use the formula = (y1+y2)/2*(x1-x2). Drag this
formula for Area column & sum it up.
