Westboro Baptist Church

is known for picketing all throughout
the United States. They would do so in hopes to
express their views of people not apart of the churchs
inevitable damnation to hell. This was attempted by
using signs such as Thank God for dead soldiers and
God hates fags. The picketers would often be found at
funerals of gays and those who were in the military.

Although Fred Phelps was the

pastorof this church, it is important
for people against his actions to not seep
to the members levels and picket his
funeral. It would prove that those
picketing are no better, or respectful, as
the members of the cult.

Rather than wasting time and effort on

picketing a funeral (remember, funerals are to
commemorate the dead and to help those
survived by to grieve), those who wish to
express their anger with the pastor and his
work can do something much more useful with
their day.

Even with much of the hate people have for

Fred Phelps and his cult, many are forgetting
that the church is also grieving -- even though
he and his people have done|are doing horrible
things, they are hurting. It is the moral,
upstanding, and noble thing to just leave his
funeral to his loved ones.

It is morally and ethically wrong to

picket at someones funeral.
-When people die its suppose to be for the people that were
in that persons personal life, not random people of the
street.
-Everyone has the right to keep their death quiet.
-Even if he doesnt deserve a peaceful funeral, he is still a
person and shall be treated equally.

disrespectful.
Its not fair that the person who died has their
personal information being exposed to the public
without a choice.

Picketing a funeral can be a burden and

can cause trouble to many.
-Picketing draws the attention of drivers on the road, which
takes their eyes off the road and can cause a car accident.
- Some people work late hours and have to sleep in during
the day, and picketing and making a bunch of noise outside
of that persons house can cause disruption.

We dont need to mourn
