Rates and Billing for Interpreting Services

Rates: A two hour minimum applies to all assignments scheduled to last up to two
hours. After the two hour minimum, the interpreter will bill in one hour increments
at the hourly rate. If the assignment goes past the scheduled time, the interpreter
will bill in half hour increments to reflect the additional time worked.
Rates for Monday-Friday standard business hours (6am-6pm)
Initial two-hour minimum rate: $100.00
Hourly rate thereafter: $45.00
Rates for nights and weekends (6pm-6am)
Initial two-hour minimum rate: $110.00
Hourly rate thereafter: $50.00
Non-Standard Assignments: Rates for assignments that require extensive
preparation (such as performance and/or platform interpreting), or travel
outside of the DC Metro Area will be negotiated at the time of the request.
Last Minute Requests: Requests for services made within 24 hours of the start
time of the assignment will incur an additional $25.00 fee.
Additional Charges: Any additional charges such as (but not limited to):
parking, travel costs (room and board), or similar charges will be negotiated
at the time of the request.

Billing: Invoices will be provided to the client at the conclusion of the assignment
either in person or via email. Payment of service is required within 14 days of
receipt of the invoice. There will be an additional $25.00 charge for every 14 days
delinquent thereafter. Payments should be made in check and mailed to the
interpreters address which will be provided upon confirmation of the scheduled
assignment.
