The following assignment has to be presented on Friday April 26th
Time: 3:30 PM to 5 PM Task: Get to Know your Students Assignment: choose one of the students you are teaching this session and observe how he or she behaves in your class. Take notes. Interview him or her. Finally, create a poster based on one comprehensive analysis. The student does not need to know he or she is being observed. Some ideas to complete your task: 1. A brief description of who the student is (background and language learning experience) 2. A short description of why the student is learning English During the class observe the following 3. Students learning strengths and challenges: learning ability preferred learning style, class activities where he or she performs confidently, and what other positive aspects have you noticed. 4. Students skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and pronunciation: what the student can do, what language and language skill the student needs to work on. 5. Make two lists of suggestions one for the student and one for the teachers who will be working with him or her.
