    Origins
    Latin pop developed over time when synthesizers
    were introduced along with drum machines. With
    influences from African music Latin pop uses
    instruments such as:
    Guitars (Acoustic/Rhythm/Bass)
    Drums
    Congos
    keyboards/pianos
    trumpets
    trombones
    etc
    Started becoming popular in Texas near the
    Mexican/US border.

    Themes

    Latin pop songs include love themed songs and some latin pop
    songs are sung just for fun and for parties with club-like rhythms.
