Notes

The children have blown us away with

their dedication to hard work and independence! It was hard to recognize some of them
after break. We felt they had grown so much
while they were away for the 10 days of break.
We are excited to watch them continue to grow
and change as the end of the year quickly approaches! We hope you all have a fun at the retreat tomorrow! Have a great weekend!

Important Information:
Technology Showcase:
Exciting news! On Tuesday,
April 19th, we will be hosting a
TFS Technology Showcase that
will take place in Fellowship
Hall from 8:30-10:30. This
event will highlight the fun ways
that we are using technology on
campus this year and will feature
projects from all classes and
grade levels along with some
interactive stations for visitors
to try coding activities, green
screen photography, and more.
We will have four students from
our class demonstrating how we
do homework, how we practice
math facts and even showing
how to use a green screen!

Academically Next Week...

Reading Groups: Our reading groups will continue to focus on

written responses. Most of the students are reading chapter books

in their respective reading groups. The focus for the remainder of
the school year will be that they correctly and independently answer their comprehension questions.
Phonics: We will continue Unit 14 in Fundations. This unit continues
to focus on the d syllable type. We will work on the long /o/ sound
spelled /ou/ or /ow/. Please look on the blog for the parent letter for
more information about this unit.
Religion: We will continue to work on preparing for First Eucharist.
Please make sure to be reviewing your childs book with them every
Thursday night.
Math: We will continue with Chapter 9. We will be focusing on: place
value through the hundreds place. We will be focusing on regrouping
with three digit numbers. Please make sure to be checking your childs
homework nightly as this is an important skill to master.
