THE GOVERNMENT OF ARGENTINA

THE PRESIDENT
His excellency is Mauricio
Macri and was elected last
year, preceding Cristiana
Fernandez de Kirchner.
The Argentinian President is
the Commander In Chief of the
Military and are elected for 4year terms. The President or
their parents must be a nativeborn citizen and cannot be reelected after two consecutive
terms.
The Government is a federal
system. The President is head
of state & executive govt.

Argentinas Government is a three tier system consisting of Judicial,


Executive, and the Legislative Branches. The Government is held by an 1853
constitution which was most recently revised in 1994. The Legislative Branch
is consisted of 72 senators who reside in each province or federal district of
Argentina. These senators serve six year terms and the deputies are based on
population representation. Each province has a Governor and a smaller
judicial system. The Supreme Court consists of nine members.

Q: How qualified is Mauricio Macri?
A: Although Macri is fairly new to politics, he was a businessmen in his past,
signing deals with well-known people such as Donald Trump. Prior to
Politics, Macri worked as a Civil Engineer.
Q: Who supports Macris ideas?
A: Macri has the support of young professionals, activists, businesspeople
and others who havent been a part of politics previously. His campaign
strives on the strength of young peoples ideas and social media. His voters
were part of his successful campaign.

The History of Argentina is divided into a few parts that play significance of
the Government and Politics. Obviously Pre-Colombian Time affected the
ideas of the Government now, and that lasted until the sixteenth-century. The
Colonial Time was until 1810 and that was a time of expansian and curiosity
for Argentinians. The National Building time went up to 1880 and was a
strong time for Argentina to strive in terms of industry and agriculture.
Lastly, modern Argentinas History has aquired a lot of new laws, change in
Government, and Golbalization.
