Classroom Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This document is to clarify the way that technology is to be used within my classroom.
We will be following this policy throughout the school year. If there is any misuse of technology
in my classroom, privileges will be taken. All the students are required to sign this agreement
before using technology within my classroom. Please read the entire document and sign at the
bottom.

Use of Technology in the Classroom:


1. Students will read their books using Kindles. This will allow them to look up definitions,
highlight information, and research material.
2. The students will be required to interact with the SMARTBoard. This will allow students
the ability to interact with what they are learning.
3. The students will be required to use iPads to help them study for things they need help
understanding. They will use Khan Academy to help them achieve goals.
4. Students will be required to use computers to conduct research, write papers, use
PowerPoint, use Publisher, and much more.
5. The students will be required to use their personal cell phones for educational purposes.
We will do several polls in the class that will allow the students to interact with the
computer using their cell phone.
Consequences:
If you are found misusing the technology within my classroom the following consequences will
be served:
First Offense Warning.
Second Offense Not allowed to use the technology for the rest of the day.
Third Offense Parent/Guardian contact. No technology until further notice.
